PMH Chapter 3 Sneak Peek

Sorry for the wait everyone, my beta is out of town and school work has been piling up on me. I try to update my stories once or twice a month and usually faster during break and summer. I recently started chapter four and hope to have it posted in April. So here’s the un beta’d sneak peek of chapter three

“So, you saw Jared was back in school today, huh?”

I waived my hand in front of her. “That’s not even my biggest worry, have you actually seen him?” I asked, excited.

Jess shook her head. “No, I haven’t seen him personally, why?”

“He’s different. I mean really different, he’s grown a lot, gotten muscular, and even chopped off all his hair!”

“Oh, no, not the hair,” Jess said, sarcastically. Then after some realization, Jess widened her eyes. “Are you serious?” she asked.

I nodded. “Yes, I’m serious, I just saw him in class right now.”

Jess let out a low whistle. “So, I guess those rumors were true.”

I shrugged. “Who knows? All I know is the boy is back, and different. Of course, the new enhancement to his muscle tone is really nice.”

Jess shook her head. “Kim, what am I going to do with you?” Jess looked behind me, and froze. “Oh my god,” Jess whispered.

I turned around to look behind me, and speak of the devil himself, Jared was walking in the direction towards me. The girls in the hallway were staring at him with their jaws dropped; I happen to think their reaction was completely understandable, and accurate considering the circumstances. His body looks great, but how did he change so fast in the span of a week? Unless he really was doing drugs, or something else.

Chapter Two: No Show

At the end of class, I decided to do one more thing. I knew it would kill me trying to do it, but I had to before I came up with even more worse scenarios than what I was thinking about. That one solution was to go to the source, Shannon. She was standing in front of her locker. As soon as I walked up to her, I knew that it was going to be one of the dumbest things I have ever done.

“Well, well, well, look who’s trying to be one of us now, the shy girl,” Shannon said in a mimicking, smug tone. “What do you want?”
“I was wondering,” I asked quietly, “if you’ve heard from Jared, lately?”

Scoffing. “No, I haven’t heard from him since last Friday when we broke up. I called his house yesterday, his father said he’s sick. Wait, why do you care?”

I instantly brightened as soon as she said that. “I was just wondering,” I responded quietly.

“Why? Do you think Jared will go out with you if you begin to worry about him? Are you really that into him? He’s just sleeping around, like he’d want someone like you,” Shannon joked in a mean tone and her friends giggled.

When Destiny Calls Sneak Peek

Chapter Two: Explanations

I was moving into the aisle that had some snacks when I heard two teenage girls gossiping.

“I can’t believe what has happened to those sweet boys we used to know at school,” one of them said, saddened.

“I know, Quil, Embry and Jacob used to be such good kids and now look what’s happened to them,” the second girl said.

Did those girls just say Jacob?

The first girl agreed. “Especially Jacob, he used to be such a good kid until he started getting involved with Sam Uley’s gang.”

WHAT! My baby brother was in a gang! What has been going on since I left La Push.

“Well, it was only a matter of time before Jacob joined. I mean, Quil and Embry are his best friends, I guess Jacob didn’t want to be without them.”

“Not to mention who else is in that little gang, Paul Lahote and Jared Cameron. Paul, it’s understandable because he’s always so angry, but Jared? He already had such an amazing life, he was captain of our football team and he gave it up just to join that freaky group.”

“Yes, Paul has quite the temper, it’s most likely the reason Jacob left in the first place, to avoid them. Not to mention Jacob and those boys are on steroids. The muscles they got during the past year and their recent growth spurt were very scary; I almost didn’t recognize him when I saw him walking around with Embry. Jacob was well over six foot at the time and would have given a professional wrestler a huge smackdown in the cage.”

Wait a second, was that another reason Jacob left? Because of this Paul guy? So, Jacob had wanted to leave the gang so he ran away! What is happening to La Push?! Now I really didn’t like this Paul person and I didn’t even know who he was.

“Let’s not forget poor Leah, I think she’s in that gang too. She chopped off all her hair and is now five-ten. She probably did those steroids too.”

“Yes, after Sam, her almost fiance dumped her for her cousin, why would she join his gang? Especially after all that.”

PMH Sneak Peek Chapter 1

So this fic is extremely canon, but because little is known about Kim and Jared it gave me a chance to be creative. This is not beta’d yet, so hope you enjoy

“So, how was your day?” Tess asked. I merely shrugged.

“Is everything okay,” Tess asked, concerned after seeing the depressing look on my face.

I nodded my head. “Yeah, don’t worry I’m fine.”

Tess didn’t look convinced, but decided it was best not to push it. Tess knew me very well, when I wanted to talk about things, I would talk to her. Tess stopped walking suddenly. I looked at her to see what was wrong.

“I’ve got an idea, let’s go watch the football game,” she said enthusiastically.

I stared at her like she was a lunatic. “Are you serious? Why? We don’t even like football.”

“I know, but this will give you the chance to stare at your beloved Jared,” She said lovingly.

I froze right there on the spot. “How did you find out?”

“Well,” she lingered. “It was pretty obvious, the way you always stare at him, plus your notebook has Mrs. Kim Cameron written all over it.”

I put my head down and could feel my cheeks turn bright red. “Oh.”

“Don’t worry little sister, your secret is safe with me,” Tessa said, before grabbing me by the arm and pulling me back towards the school.

We walked inside, going past the office and gym towards the football field. We got there and headed towards the middle of the bleachers.

“There, this will give you a better view of your man,” Tess whispered.

I groaned. “He’s not exactly my man.”

Tess shook her head just as the whistle blew, and the game began. I felt cheery as I saw Jared running out from the alcove where all the football players were. I loved how his body looked in the uniform. I was pulled out of my thoughts by Tess.

“Kim!” Tess shrieked, as she shook me.

I pushed her off me. “What is your problem?!”

“Look!” Tess exclaimed, pointing down at the field. I looked down and the scene shocked me. Jared was pushing one of the other players on the opposing team. The coached kept blowing the whistle, but that didn’t stop Jared from tackling the guy to the ground. Four coaches ran out onto the field just to pull them apart. They called a time out.

“Well,” Tess said, with a smirk on her face. “That was an exciting part of the game wasn’t it? Is he on roid rage or something?”

When Destiny Calls Sneak Peek Chapter 2

OKay so this is the my first ever wolfpack fic that I ever wrote, but I got a great beta and pre-reader. Thank god for Serene and April otherwise my stories would be lost without them. So here is a small snippet of the first chapter. May change once betad.

Rachel POV

I looked at my gas tank and noticed I was almost at empty. I pulled off onto the next exit, and drove for about a block until I was in front of a gas station. Grabbing my purse, I went inside and started walking towards the front door of the gas station. When I looked up at the door to swing it open, I froze and was shocked at the picture I saw.

I moved closer to the glass, and froze at what was in front of my face. A flyer of a boy, who was missing, it wasn’t just any boy- it was my baby brother, Jacob. It had the recent school picture he had taken the previous year. Underneath the picture were words in bold black “Have you seen this boy?”

I felt my blood run cold. My baby brother was missing. He could be lying dead somewhere. What’s worse, I spoke to my father the other day and he never once told me once when we talked on the phone the other day. Feeling furious, I ripped the flyer off the pole, stuffing it into my pocket. Once I went inside and paid the cashier for the gas, I got into my car, slamming the door, and was speeding down the road until I was home.

So many scenarios were flip-flopping around my head about what I would say to my father I think my brain would have exploded.

I kept driving up the pathway until I reached the little red brick house that was my childhood home. As I pulled my car in front of the garage, I noticed my father’s wheelchair bound figure waiting in the front doorframe. I quickly grabbed my bag, the flyer, and walked right up to him. I reached into my pocket and pulled out the crumpled flyer.

Dad was smiling. “Rach, boy have I missed-”

I waved the flyer in front of my father. “What is this?” I snapped.

My dad looked sheepish. “Ahh, Rachel, listen -”

“Jake’s missing? Missing?” I started getting very upset.

My dad sighed. “Jacob’s not missing.”

“Then how do you explain this?” I snapped.

My dad sighed and muttered, “Charlie. He insisted on putting up those damn things.”

“So everyone knows he’s missing?” I asked.

“Rachel, just come inside and let me explain,” my Dad stated.

I nodded and followed my father into the house and sat on the sofa. Once I was situated, he began telling me the past year’s events I had missed in La Push.

“Okay, so explain, why is there posters of Jacob missing all around town?” I asked.

“Sweetheart, you missed a lot of things while you were away at school. But Jacob is not in any danger.”

“Then what happened?” I pushed.

Dad sighed. “Well remember how I told you Jacob was spending a lot of time with Charlie’s daughter?” he started. I nodded my head recalling our previous conversation.

“This is the part I left out. Last year, Bella’s boyfriend left her. She was so shattered, and depressed. Charlie started to becoming worried about her, thinking he would have to send to a professional place to get some help. I had never seen him feel so useless.

“Suddenly, Bella stops by, and she and Jake begin hanging out. They started becoming closer, developing feelings for each other, getting even closer. Until Bella’s boyfriend moved back to town, then she and Jacob sort of had a falling out.

“Jacob kept thinking he was in love with her, but when Bella chose her old boyfriend over Jacob. Jake kept trying to pursue her, hoping to change her mind. After his little motorcycle incident, he hoped Bella would have had a change of heart, but in the end, he just ended up getting even more hurt.”

“So, Jacob thinks he has the hot’s for Charlie’s daughter, gets into a motorcycle accident, and he just decided to takes off?” I asked incredulous.
